This painting celebrates the joy of foraging wild mushrooms. Saffron milkcap mushrooms are some of my favourite mushrooms to paint and are easily identified in the wild by their carrot orange colouring and eventually they can bruise a greenish hue. I used deep saturated colours here to create a sumptuous and appealing piece for all the senses.
